ISD is actively promoting safer alternatives to the use of traditional spine systems. Our alternatives include single-use, sterile packed instrumentation and implants. This is minimizing the risk of potential infections associated with the traditional reusable systems, saving healthcare institutions money by lowering SPD expenditures and reducing costs associated with unplanned readmissions due to surgical site infection. 
The TRUE Spinal Fixation System incorporates all of the instruments and implants needed for Thoracolumbar Fusion in a single-use, compact, sterile kit.  This system offers surgeons a simplified workflow with robust results.
Although not currently available in the United States, ISD has also developed The Altum® Pedicle Osteotomy System. Altum decompresses spinal nerve tissue by lengthening the pedicles and is the first and only minimally invasive cure for lumbar spinal stenosis that maintains the natural dynamics of the spine.
