Innovative Test Solutions, Inc., is a full-service mechanical engineering and testing laboratory specializing in the mechanical behavior of structures and structural material with a particular emphasis in the areas of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), vibration, fatigue, fracture mechanics, creep/rupture, and friction and wear. Innovative Test Solutions (ITS) was founded in 2004 by the management and personnel of the former Materials Characterization Laboratory (MCL) in Schenectady, New York. The services at ITS range from standard ASTM test protocols to the development of custom, one-of-a-kind test rigs coupled with advanced analytical testing procedures that allow the true and complex real-world fatigue and component properties of various metal alloys and composites to be evaluated. ITS personnel is compiled of professionals for designing tests to meet unique stipulations by using computer-aided fixture design, computer-controlled testing, and automated data acquisition. Industries serviced by ITS include power generation, gas and oil, defense, aerospace, transportation, and biomedical systems.
