Inter-Metro Freight started as the in-house logistics company for Fedway Associates, one of the largest wine & spirits distributors in the state of New Jersey. With a dedicated and dynamic sales team and marketing strategy, lead by Ralph Ippolito, our market grew to offering our industry knowledge of beverage logistics services to freight forwarders, steamship lines, custom brokers, importers, exporters and freight brokers. 

In 1990, we created the Inter-Metro Group which consists of; Inter-Metro Freight, Inc., Red Rooster Beverage, Inc. and Sunshine Human Resources, Inc. In 2006, Heavy Weight Transport was opened under the group umbrella. 

It wasn’t long after that we expanded to a national footprint. Currently, we have approximately 300 employees with operations in; Long Beach, CA, Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Elizabeth, NJ, Kearny, NJ, Cookeville, TN and Houston, TX!

Our innovative approach allowed us to grow exponentially into what we are today.
