The International Documentary Association (IDA) is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California, that supports documentary storytelling and aims to foster an inclusive documentary culture. It works to connect audiences with notable documentary work, provide resources for creators, and build a community among documentary makers. It also defends the rights and freedoms of documentary artists, activists, and journalists around the globe.

As a small to mid-sized organization in the civic and social sector, IDA serves documentary makers and related professionals by addressing practical needs and expanding access to networks. It positions itself within the civic and social organizations field to support creators, activists, and journalists and to contribute to a more informed, connected world. Notably, in December 2023 the organization announced that Dominic Asmall Willsdon would become Executive Director, with the role taking effect January 2024.
