The International Senior Lawyers Project coordinates seasoned legal professionals to provide pro bono counsel through carefully structured projects. Its clients include low-income governments, civil society organizations, social enterprises, and impact investors that lack access to comparable legal support, and its approach rests on trust-based collaboration with public and private decision-makers. ISLP provides direct transaction and negotiation support, tailored knowledge-sharing resources, and capacity-building tools, along with legislative and regulatory review or drafting and comparative legal research. Its practice covers natural resource management, energy, investment and trade, civil society engagement, accountability and transparency, anti-bribery and corruption, alternative dispute resolution, media law and freedom of expression, innovative finance and social enterprises, responsible technology, and taxation. Based in New York City, New York, ISLP operates as a small organization, and in August 2024 participated in organizing an International Arbitration in Practice workshop in Georgetown, Guyana, in collaboration with the Government of Guyana and partner organizations.
