Intrigue is a film and television production company based in Santa Monica, California. Founded by Tariq Jalil in 2013, the company is dedicated to producing engaging and poignant programming.

SCRIPTED TELEVISION
Intrigue is currently piloting PLAYING DEAD, which was picked up by CW with writer and executive producers Rina Mimoun (EVERWOOD, MISTRESSES) and Josh Reims (FELICITY)) attached. In 2016, they had GAME OF SILENCE – based on the Turkish format “SUSKUNLAR” - air on NBC with Carol Mendelsohn (CSI), David Hudgins (PARENTHOOD, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) showrunning, and Niels Arden Oplev (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO) directing.

Intrigue also piloted the half-hour comedy HAIL MARY - based on Austrian format “BRAUNSCHLAG” – at ABC with Seth Gordon (HORRIBLE BOSSES, BAYWATCH) and staring Cassey Wilson (HAPPY ENDINGS) and Retta (PARKS AND REC).

Previously, the show FIRST LADY was set up at the CW with Jennifer Garner (DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, ALIAS) and Jenni Ross writing. Intrigue also sold WOMAN OF STEEL to ABC with Eva Longoria (DEVIOUS MAIDS, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) as well as setup INLAND EMPIRE, a pilot by Lucas Carter, at Universal Cable Productions.

NON-SCRIPTED TELEVISION
Intrigue produced OPERATION REPO - one of the highest rated shows on truTV. The show has been produced for 11 seasons. Intrigue has also sold REPO VEGAS, THE MEDIATOR, and the IMPOUND SHOW to truTV, as well as VOODOO to Animal Planet.

FEATURES
Intrigue produced MARMADUKE for 20th Century Fox, based on the popular comic strip. The company also packaged movies based on source material including DILBERT (comic strip) and BOULDER DASH (video game).
Intrigue also set up an original spec with financier The Exchange: CAMDEN, an action thriller, with Evan Peters (AMERICAN HORROR STORY) and Lawrence Fishburne (THE MATRIX, MYSTIC RIVER) attached.
