Technovation, originally founded as Iridescent, is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California, focused on global tech education. Since its founding in 2006, it has reached more than 130,000 children and adults across more than 100 countries. Its flagship initiative, Technovation Girls, equips young women with the skills to become technology entrepreneurs and leaders, and its alumni have earned recognition in startup and app-building competitions, spoken at events such as TEDx Women, IBM India Onward, and Google Science Fair, and secured internships with major technology firms, universities, and government agencies. Its sibling program, Technovation Families, brings together families, schools, communities and industry mentors to explore AI. It works with AI experts from Google and NVIDIA and collaborates with academic partners including USC, the University of Michigan, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, and HKUST. The organization rebranded to Technovation and has recently announced a partnership with Generation Unlimited to launch the AI Ventures Accelerator, a free 12-week program to help young women turn AI ideas into investor-ready ventures.
