Islamic Relief Worldwide is a faith-based relief and development organization based in Birmingham, England. Founded in 1984, it operates in more than 45 countries, delivering emergency response and development programs that typically help over 10 million people each year. Its global network includes national offices, affiliated partners, field offices, and a subsidiary that operates a clothing recycling program. Its work focuses on expanding access to vital services, tackling the underlying causes of poverty, protecting communities from disasters, and delivering life-saving aid. The organization also positions itself as a policy leader in Islamic humanitarianism, supported by research programs that pursue practical approaches to contemporary humanitarian challenges. A recent development is the Stand Up for Children campaign launched in September 2025, created with faith leaders, UN agencies and civil society to advocate for the protection and well-being of children affected by conflict.
