Ithaca College Television (ICTV) is a student-run broadcast media production and distribution organization based in Ithaca, New York. Founded in 1958, it is cited as the nation’s oldest student-run station and reaches about 26,000 households in Tompkins County. During the academic year, ICTV airs original, student-produced programming on Spectrum News (Channel 16) and through a live stream at ICTV.org, producing around 20 shows each semester with the help of more than 450 student volunteers. In the broadcast industry, ICTV operates as a campus-based producer and distributor of local programming, serving both the college and neighboring community. Its operations reflect a volunteer-driven model integrated with an educational setting rather than a traditional commercial outlet, and the organization has earned regional recognition for its programming, including a 2023 third-place CMA Station of the Year Pinnacle Award.
