Janam Indian Tea is a New York–based entrant in the food and beverage services sector that began in 2004 as a source for consumers to purchase high-quality Indian teas. In 2005 it opened what was described as the western hemisphere’s first shop dedicated to single-origin Indian teas, located in downtown Jersey City. After the physical shop closed, the business continued via an online store, and in late 2016 it expanded to offer an Afternoon Tea service on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. 

The company serves individual tea buyers seeking authentic Indian varieties and single-origin teas, and it later added a seated tea experience in New York.
