Jefferson Christian Academy is a small, college-preparatory school serving the Birmingham area that combines rigorous academics with spiritual formation guided by the Holy Scriptures. It was founded in the early 1970s by members of the Church of Christ to provide quality education in a Christian environment for local youth, beginning with thirty students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Over the years, it relocated to accommodate growth, ultimately settling in a 15-acre Irondale campus after moving there in February 1985. The school treats education as the development of the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through a program that emphasizes spiritual values alongside college preparation.
