At the peak of the economic recession in early 2009, Jeffrey Brown and Associates was formed to help small to midsized companies position themselves for growth after the recession. Through a process known as business process reengineering, they helps companies evaluate their operational business processes and identify bottlenecks and inefficient systems, allowing companies to expand or contract with minimal change in human capital. In his recent article, “Great Employee Meltdown,” Jeffrey Brown describes how companies are at the brink of a tipping point at which overworked and underpaid employees will quit in a moment of frustration, or won’t think twice about leaving their companies for a new job. Further, he explains that if companies don’t prepare for the Meltdown by focusing on business process reengineering, they will lose some of their best employees and inhibit growth.
