From 2009 to 2025, JSC®, in Washington, D.C., was a bastion of hope for disenfranchised patients around the world. The infectious disease practice was dedicated to the treatment of Lyme disease (Lyme borreliosis complex) and its associated conditions. Founded by Dr. Joseph Jemsek, a thought leader in the field since 2001, JSC® was a world-renowned destination practice, welcoming patients from 50 US states and more than 40 countries. In 2025, after many years of service to thousands of patients, the Jemsek® Specialty Clinic, or JSC®, closed its doors permanently and Dr. Jemsek transitioned from practicing medicine to focusing on patient advocacy and advancing the public’s understanding of tick-borne diseases.
