The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Brooklyn, New York, founded in 1981 to provide social and human services across Southern Brooklyn and the wider city. What began as a neighborhood effort has grown into a citywide network serving older adults, at-risk youth, immigrants, jobseekers, and other nonprofits, offering tailored, community-first solutions that adapt to evolving needs. It is regarded as a trusted resource by elected officials and peer organizations for its ability to respond quickly and effectively to complex social service challenges.

The organization centers its work on five pillars: Older Adult Services, Career Services, Educational Services, Community Services, and a Nonprofit HelpDesk that supports capacity-building for local organizations. In early 2026, JCCGCI participated in internal events and collaborations, including its Annual Winter Employee Appreciation Party and a partnership with L’Oréal Mishpachah to host a daylong experience for Holocaust survivors served by the organization, as well as involvement with Crown Heights Mesivta Vocational Track. Overall, the group emphasizes holistic care and practical support aimed at addressing diverse community needs.
