Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp is a long-standing educational organization in Little Rock, Arkansas, operating a free summer residential camping program for 9 to 14 year olds on an 88-acre site. In addition to the summer camp, the organization offers the Alternative Classroom Experience for 3rd through 5th graders, a 30-day September–May program that combines academics with outdoor and team-building activities, plus weekly parenting workshops and a transition and follow-up structure through 7th grade. It also provides teacher-training, ropes course instruction, an annual Honor Camp, and a Counselor-in-Training program for older youths, with broader collaboration with local youth agencies to sustain services through the teen years. The camp is notable for being one of Arkansas’s few residential child-care facilities licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services and has earned recognition from national organizations for its programming, reflecting its historical roots dating to 1929 in the education and youth-service field.
