Jowitt & Rodgers Co. is a privately held American abrasive manufacturing company based in Philadelphia, PA.  Founded in 1951, we have focused on meeting the needs of selected niches within global abrasive markets.  Concentrating on surface grinding, we custom design bonded abrasives to meet industry’s needs.  Our products are used in the production of automotive parts, bearings, cutlery, hand tools, forestry products, and a wide variety of other items. We currently service customers not just in North America, but also in Canada, Europe, Asia, Central America and South America.

Jowitt & Rodgers’ products are endowed with the talents of its employees who continually contribute to the birth of new products for industries around the world. Our plant in Philadelphia produces resin and epoxy bonded abrasives. The principal products are nut inserted disc wheels, cylinder wheels and segmented wheels.  All are manufactured in our ISO 9001:2008 certified facility utilizing SPC process controls to meet the highest quality standards.

Our Syntech operating division in Charlotte, NC produces bonded superabrasive products.  Syntech manufactures resin, metal and vitrified bonded diamond and CBN grinding wheels.

Service has always and continues to be a high priority.  Our field personnel have many, many years of experience and consult with our customers to help them optimize their grinding operations.  Our in-house technical staff provides telephone consultation and custom designs our formulations to meet specific customer needs.  Though all products are made-to-order, our lead times are exceptionally short.
