Industry veteran Gina Nigrelli-Smith spent years immersed in the multi-faceted fashion scene. From prior experience, Gina came to recognize a gap in the contemporary jewelry market where both quality and value play an equal part.  Jules Smith was founded in 2007 on a mission to merge the two through a distinctive viewpoint that meticulously combines the brand’s urban New York City roots with its laid-back, California style.

Gina’s innate ability to predict the next movement in fashion has resulted in an unmatched assortment season after season. A continuously evolving juxtaposition of elegant, clean-lined silhouettes with edgy, cool-girl details makes up an anthology of pieces that speak to classics, bohemians and trailblazers alike. Meanwhile, a deep appreciation for vintage encourages a design aesthetic which inimitably pulls from the most intriguing aspects of 60s post-modernism, 70s boho and 80s glam. Nigrelli-Smith combines these nods to the past with modern materials and sleek shapes to create a style unparalleled in the contemporary jewelry space. 

The collection, which is manufactured in brass with 14k plating, colored gemstones and rich crystals, exudes vibrancy and allure. The Jules Smith brand is deeply committed to producing well made, standout pieces while remaining readily available to all. Price points range from $50-$175, with the majority of styles sitting below $100 retail.

After relocating to California following 10 years in New York City, Nigrelli-Smith was driven to expand Jules Smith to include a collection of vibrant wraps and swim cover-ups. With the 2015 launch of Jules Smith’s swim collection, the designer plans to develop her newly expanded assortment into a full-scale lifestyle brand. 

The brand is currently available in leading retailers across the country including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Shopbop, Saks, Barneys Warehouse and Neiman Marcus in addition to the designer’s website, julessmithdesigns.com.
