Kairos Alive! is a small, nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operating in the performing arts and arts education space, using participatory dance theater to support wellbeing across the lifespan. Its signature Choreography of Care programs are research-informed and designed to foster personal and community wellbeing through dance, music, and storytelling for people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. The organization collaborates with professionals in arts, health care, social services, and community development, aligning with emerging national fields such as creative arts & aging and arts & health. It has been recognized by the National Center for Creative Aging and the National Endowment for the Arts for its elder/community involvement programs, and was featured in the PBS documentary Arts and the Mind. In late 2020, Kairos Alive! partnered with the Appleton Public Library to extend its programs to additional communities.
