In rural Kenya, the odds are stacked against girls from birth. Most won't finish high school. Half will be married before they turn 19. Two-thirds will undergo female genital mutilation. These aren't isolated tragedies. They comprise a system of inequality that is designed to undermine girls’ futures.

Kakenya’s Dream exists to rewrite what’s possible. We support girls holistically with education, healthcare, skills training, and economic opportunity. But that support can only go so far in a world that’s still designed to hold girls back. So we also work directly with their families and entire communities to dismantle the harmful norms and practices at the root of their oppression. 

That dual commitment, to supporting the girl and changing the world around her, is what sets us apart. Our approach isn’t just empowering individual girls. It’s laying the foundation for a more equitable society for generations to come. Because when a girl rises, the world rises with her.
