KATZEN technology has been applied to more than 140 completed ethanol and biofuels projects in 40 countries.  We currently have plants/systems under design, construction, or start-up in the United States, Canada, Turkey, Spain, Poland and Brazil.

KATZEN has developed a proprietary Universal Product (UP™) “bolt-on” distillation system that is flexible in throughput, energy consumption, and process flow configuration, enabling fuel ethanol plants to produce virtually any known market grade of alcohol. Examples include intermediate industrial alcohols (e.g. hand sanitizers, solvents, chemical intermediates, etc.), common Grain Neutral Spirit (GNS), and the purest alcohol in the world, known as VHQ™ (Very High Quality).
