Founded in 2018, KC Common Good’s vision is to create a successful Kansas City where peace is a promise kept for all and every individual, family, and community has the opportunity to grow, contribute, and flourish. Through proactive and intentional collaboration and purpose, we drive lasting change that uplifts generations. Our mission is to create a peaceful Kansas City by empowering people, aligning partners, and collaborating on long-term innovative actions and investments that improve community safety. We’re conveners and connectors, bringing together the business community, engaged citizens, community resources and key stakeholders to make an investment in societal change for our common good. We’re intermediaries who believe that the power of many creates more change than the power of a few. We’ve all been touched by violence. It’s time to change mindsets—from a place of apathy to a place of empathy. It’s time to build our community from within. It’s time to extend a hand to lift up the most vulnerable within our communities. Hope inspires change.
