KC Farm School at Gibbs Road operates a fourteen-acre peri-urban farm in southern Wyandotte County, Kansas, with regenerative vegetable production on two acres using no-till methods and a 6,000-square-foot community greenhouse. The organization runs an on-farm farmers market, supports a forty-member community-supported agriculture program, and maintains connections with local restaurants while participating in the producer-owned KC Food Hub. These activities help expand local food access and provide a sales channel for neighboring producers. Its education programs welcome participants of all ages, ancestries, and abilities, beginning at age four through initiatives such as Ag Explorers, Jr. Growers, Youth Farm Apprenticeships, Growing Growers Apprenticeships, adult workshops, and volunteer opportunities, complemented by a lending library focused on agriculture and sustainability topics. The farm maintains a pay-what-you-can model for both food and education, reflecting its community-focused approach, and is exploring how an adjacent eleven-acre parcel—dubbed Common Ground—could expand shared farming and learning spaces. In October 2023, Startland Education partnered with KC Farm School to host its Back 2 School Challenge.
