Ken Moylan, Artist is an independent artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operating within the artists and writers sector. His practice combines painting, sculpture, and architectural elements to create hybrid image-objects that integrate realist painting within carefully designed frames, often employing forced perspective and intricate craftsmanship. Moylan’s process involves extensive research and numerous preliminary drawings, with works constructed from a variety of materials and techniques appropriate to the subject and historical context. The resulting pieces are highly detailed and rely on the interplay between traditional forms and contemporary presentation, using elements such as wood veneer and decorative finishes to enhance illusion and realism. The company appears to function as a small-scale, individual artistic practice focused on producing unique, meticulously crafted artworks rather than mass-produced products.
