Kesem is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping children who face a parent with cancer. Founded in 2000, it mobilizes a network of volunteer college student leaders—over 130 chapters across the country—to deliver year-round programs at no cost to families. The centerpiece is Camp Kesem, a week-long sleep-away summer camp, complemented by additional touchpoints that continue support for campers and their families.

The organization's services target children aged 6 to 18 and their families during and after a parent's cancer experience. Kesem operates within the non-profit sector, characterized by its reliance on volunteers and community-driven programs rather than paid offerings. Based in Covina, California, the organization is mid-sized and coordinates a nationwide program through its college chapters to provide ongoing support beyond camp.
