KickStart International is a nonprofit social enterprise advancing affordable irrigation in Africa. We design and distribute our flagship MoneyMaker irrigation pumps, practical tools that enable smallholder farmers to grow crops year-round, increase incomes, and strengthen food security.

To date, more than 400,000 pumps have been sold across 17 countries, helping over 1.5 million people out of poverty, creating 300,000+ farm enterprises, and generating $210M in new profits and wages. Farmers use our pumps to move from rain-fed subsistence to profitable irrigated farming, producing high-value crops even in dry seasons when demand and prices peak.

Through 250+ local distributors and partnerships with governments, NGOs, and agribusinesses, KickStart ensures irrigation technology is accessible, sustainable, and scalable. For farmers, irrigation means more than water—it means opportunity, resilience, and the chance to create a better future.
