A lot of the people who look into our windows at 6th Avenue near Houston don’t realize we’re a dry cleaner. What they see appears to be the comfortable living room of someone who collects decorative birdhouses. 

But we are a dry cleaner and a darned good one, one of the top two or three in New York. 

Customers tell us that we’ve spoiled them for any other dry cleaner and we’re glad to hear that because we have carefully nurtured our business and our customers for 30+ years. 

King Garment Care has always been a family business. Our matriarch, Victoria Aviles, was named a Top Entrepreneur by Crain’s in August. The NYC business magazine wrote “She does more than tenderly tailor, clean and press everything from hand-embroidered tablecloths to taffeta evening gowns...she also makes sure that everything is done right.”

•Inspecting each garment when it is brought in; 
•Managing our own immaculate 5,700 square foot plant in the Brooklyn Navy Yard; 
•Making sure that every garment leaves our plant clean, fresh, pressed, on time and in perfect condition right down to a careful final inspection to see that there are no missing buttons, no dangling hems, no fabric piling. 
•Doing everything in our power to make sure our customers are delighted with the way we handle their garments.
