KIPP New Jersey operates a network of free, open-enrollment public charter schools designed to prepare students for college and lifelong success. As part of the national Knowledge Is Power Program, the schools offer college-preparatory curricula for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The network began in Newark in 2002 with a single middle school and about 80 fifth graders and has since expanded to 21 campuses serving Newark, Camden, and Paterson. Headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, the organization maintains a substantial presence in the state's urban districts. Recent activity includes participation in SoccerFest 2026 on May 27, 2026, an event hosted at Hinchliffe Stadium by the New York Cosmos and KIPP Paterson Public Schools.
