Kd has been creating inspirational kitchens with solid, stunning design for more than half a century. We have a passion for delivering true beauty and timeless design, while never forgetting that the kitchen, first and foremost, is a space that should be designed for use. We build kitchens with impact – from the smallest detail to the breathtaking big picture. 

We come from humble beginnings, founded in 1953 by our current owner Tom Hartman’s parents, Ester and P.G. Hartman. Kd began by created high-level kitchens for large commercial clients including hospitals, schools and even the Colorado Air Force Academy. Moving beyond commercial kitchens, Pius found some of Colorado’s most noted families wanted us to capture the best in kitchen design and mix it with a dash of their own personal flair. It was when here that he found a passion for creating unique and innovative spaces that catered to the homeowner’s functional and design needs. The result 70 years later, are more than 1,000 Kd kitchens that brim with personality and style.
