We specialize in California regulatory and legislative advocacy. 

We have substantial legislative and political expertise in a wide range of subject matters including business issues, banking, finance, mortgage lending, technology, legal liability, human resources, transportation and insurance. We view ourselves as problem solvers in a unique context – the fluid and chaotic California legislative, regulatory and political process. We help our clients navigate, plan for, and influence what is a very hostile and unruly process. We assist them in identifying and managing the constant stream of risks and opportunities that arise every day in the California State Capitol.

Our typical approach to legislative representation is to develop long term relationships with a few, select clients to whom we provide focused service based on an in-depth understanding of the nuances of their business needs and goals. While the firm does and will continue to do some situational and project based work, the primary focus of the practice is our ongoing clients. We invest significant amounts of time and energy in knowing the client and its needs, assisting the client in identifying and capitalizing on its strengths, regularly and effectively telling the client's story in the Capitol, working to minimize client weaknesses, and helping the client build as powerful a political brand and political capacity as the client is willing to support while using that capacity to achieve the client's goals.
