Koç University is a non-profit private higher education institution based in Istanbul, in the Sarıyer district. Founded in 1993, its 62-acre campus comprises about sixty buildings that house laboratories, a library, dormitories, faculty residences, social venues, a health center and sports facilities. The university includes the Colleges of Social Sciences and Humanities, Administrative Sciences and Economics, Science, Engineering, Law, Nursing and Medicine, and offers 22 undergraduate, 32 graduate and 18 PhD programs. It seeks to provide high-quality education, advance knowledge through faculty research, apply discoveries for societal benefit, and cultivate ethics and social responsibility. In 2026, the university engaged in notable partnerships and collaborative initiatives, including a partnership with Chaosium Inc., and participation in the National ERC Synergy Grant Forum organized with TÜBİTAK.
