Kohl Wholesale is a wholesale distributor based in Quincy, Illinois. The company traces its origins to 1873, when Nikolaus Kohl, an immigrant from Germany who settled in the United States, founded the business as N. Kohl Grocer Co., Importers, Wholesale Grocers and Coffee Roasters. Through the years it grew into a well-stocked wholesale grocer and one of the Midwest's larger coffee roasters.

Today it operates as a broadline distributor with an inventory of more than 14,000 products and serves a diverse set of customers, including restaurants, hotels, supermarket delis, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retail grocers, caterers and taverns in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. The company remains family-owned and is led by the fifth generation, Rick, Mark, and Matt Ehrhart, with the Kohl Cash & Carry store opening in 2000 expanding community access to its products and services.
