It launched its first milk in 2016 after three years of market listening to regional parents seeking healthier options. 

Koita operates in the food and beverage services sector and sells its milks across 10 countries spanning the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the company maintains a presence in Chicago and affiliates with the American Business Council (Dubai Chapter) and the Organic Trade Association (Washington DC). In August 2024, Koita expanded its plant-based lineup with the Organic Almond + Coconut milk.
