KWV began in 1918 as a small cooperative of grape growers and has since grown into a global beverage producer with a portfolio of more than 100 products. The company is headquartered in Paarl, in the Western Cape region of South Africa.

KWV sources wines and grapes from key viticultural regions across South Africa and operates one of the largest cellar complexes in the world, which includes the Cathedral Cellar.
