KWV began in 1918 as a small cooperative of grape growers and has since grown into a global beverage producer with a portfolio of more than 100 products. The company is headquartered in Paarl, in the Western Cape region of South Africa.

KWV sources wines and grapes from key viticultural regions across South Africa and operates one of the largest cellar complexes in the world, which includes the Cathedral Cellar. Its brands balance traditional roots with contemporary appeal, and the group has earned more than 300 awards in the past year. KWV emphasizes sustainability and empowerment, is a founding member of the Association for Responsible Alcohol Use, and operates in more than 100 markets globally with focus in Scandinavia, Germany, the Americas, Japan, and South Africa.
