LA FROMAGERIE began over thirty years ago in 1991, up a mountain on a skiing holiday, where founder Patricia Michelson first tasted Beaufort Chalet d’Alpage. She brought a wheel back home to London and, with it, started the business.

We have three beautiful locations in central London - Highbury, Marylebone and Bloomsbury. The first shop, situated in Highbury Park, opened in September 1992 and our flagship shop opened on Moxon Street (just off Marylebone High Street) in November 2002. The Bloomsbury branch on Lambs Conduit Street opened in October 2017. Each location has its own identity and focus, but all feature our signature walk-in cheeserooms.

The Wholesale Department was developed alongside our shops and we have been supplying farmhouse cheese to some of the best restaurants, hotels & shops in the UK. We have a dedicated team of cheesemongers based in our warehouse in Highbury, with our specially designed cheese rooms devoted to maturing & refining cheese.

We work directly with corporate clients and private customers to design bespoke events and a variety of different gifting solutions tailored individual need and budget.
