La Lumiere School is a college-preparatory institution offering day and boarding education for students in grades 9 through 12, with an emphasis on character, scholarship, and faith. Founded in 1963 by businessmen from Chicago and Indiana as an independent Catholic boarding school for boys (including a post-graduate year), it later began admitting girls in 1978 while keeping to its mission. Over the years the school has added facilities and updated curricula, continuing to align with its foundational goals. The campus is located in Northern Indiana, north of La Porte and west of South Bend. Recent developments include the appointment of Andy Webster as Head of School in 2023, and in 2024 two La Lumiere seniors were named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
