Lambs Farm is a mid-sized organization operating in the Individual and Family Services sector, based in Libertyville, Illinois. It was founded in 1961 by Bob Terese and Corinne Owen to promote dignity for people with developmental disabilities and to show they can lead meaningful, productive lives. The venture began with The Lambs, a pet shop in downtown Chicago created to provide work opportunities, and in 1965 the land for a 72-acre farm was donated by W. Clement Stone. The organization now serves about 250 participants who live on the farm in nine group homes, in a 16-unit apartment building, or in a retirement residence, with some participants residing in community homes owned by Lambs Farm or commuting from home to work and participate in programs. Participants find employment through Lambs Farm's own businesses, work centers, administration, and groundskeeping, as well as in the surrounding community. In November 2023, Lambs Farm announced a partnership with Swissmtncoffee to develop a whole bean medium-dark roast blend, reflecting ongoing expansion of its activities.
