Millwood Inc. has acquired the business of Lannes Williamson Pallets, a family-owned Southside, West Virginia pallet operation known for quality and superior customer service. Although Williamson is closing his plant, Millwood will service his accounts from mills in the region.

"After forty years of continuous operation, retiring was one of the most challenging decisions I have made,” said Lannes Williamson, president. "It was most important to me that our loyal customers are well served. I believe that Millwood is the supplier that is most capable of providing the same level of customer service that Williamson Pallets customers have come to expect.”

"This is a continuation of our growth strategy,” said Ron Ringness, executive vice president – sales, marketing & technology/partner. "As opportunities arise, we are actively acquiring new businesses, product lines and customer lists along with hiring new personnel.”

Williamson will remain actively involved as a consultant to Millwood during the transition period. He will work closely with Dave Sabo, Millwood’s senior sales manager in the Alleghany Region, and Lee Evans, manager – strategic sourcing/customer care.
