Larson Texts, Inc., together with its subsidiary Big Ideas Learning LLC, develops mathematics textbooks for students from middle school (sixth grade) through college calculus. The materials are designed to be readable, accurate, and connected to real-world applications, and they are provided in both print and online formats. Larson Texts also publishes its own titles via Big Ideas Learning and AndYou.com, and it produces textbooks for prominent publishers such as Cengage Learning, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Pearson, and W. H. Freeman. Headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, the company has operated for more than 30 years and traces its origins to Dr. Ron Larson, whose Calculus textbook first appeared in 1978. Its materials reach more than five million students annually, and in November 2022 Larson Texts partnered with United Way to support JoAnna Connell Elementary School in Erie under a Community School model for three years.
