LaunchSpace is a not-for-profit community workshop and makerspace based in Orange, Massachusetts. It offers a range of workshops, access to power and hand tools, and ample bench space to support individuals in pursuing personal projects and developing small businesses. The organization structures its activities into three tiers: a facility where members can collaborate and learn hands-on making arts and technical disciplines; a classroom and training wing delivering certificate courses in collaboration with local colleges, alongside general skills classes; and a business incubation strand that provides equipment, space, and consulting to help participants launch ventures within a broader innovation ecosystem. Founded to support economic revitalization in semi-rural, post-industrial communities, LaunchSpace aims to address unemployment and limited economic opportunity by fostering workforce development, education, and entrepreneurship. Recent developments include partnerships and program expansions, such as collaborations with Greenspace CoWork and local colleges to support rural innovation initiatives.
