In the estates and trusts area, David has almost 20 years of experience in advising individuals and families on how to protect their assets. He drafts wills, trusts, and powers of attorney to meet their specific needs. His accounting and finance background helps him deal with complicated estate and tax issue. Different types of revocable and irrevocable trusts are used to deal with blended families and same sex couples. He also represents trustees and executors in trust administration and probate along with the accompanying trust/probate litigation and disputes, many of which have been successfully resolved at mediation. David has drafted over 400 trusts and over 250 wills plus dealt with over 50 probates and 40 trust administrations. In the bankruptcy area, he has become a certified specialist over the years and his bankruptcy practice covers a variety of bankruptcy issues: consumer and business bankruptcies in chapters 7, 11 and 13, complex bankruptcy matters, including chapter 11 plan and disclosure issues, cash collateral, and asset sales, and representing creditors and parties in litigation in bankruptcy court, federal district court, and state court. Litigation includes the prosecution and defense of adversary proceedings as well as general law and motion matters. As part of his bankruptcy practice, he deals with issues in collection, real estate, civil, corporate, real estate, and tax law. Debt resolution and workouts are also provided.
