Legacy Australia is a national charity based in Sydney, New South Wales, that provides care for widows and dependants of war veterans, and for families of Australian Defence Force personnel killed or seriously injured in service. Founded in 1923 by World War I veterans, it operates through a network of volunteers known as Legatees who offer personalized, ongoing support to each family. Legatees are assigned to individual families, and experienced volunteers often mentor younger ones, reflecting a hands-on, service-driven approach. It supports more than 30,000 beneficiaries nationwide, including about 1,300 children and 1,100 people with a disability, through 43 clubs and a broader community service workforce. In April 2026, Dragons partnered with Legacy Australia Incorporated to support the Anzac Round, illustrating ongoing collaboration with external partners.
