Founded in 1997 in San Diego, Lestat's Coffee House operates a small network of neighborhood coffee houses that are open around the clock and offer complimentary Wi-Fi. The concept blends literary and regional themes, with the original Normal Heights location drawing on the Anne Rice-inspired aesthetic and a French Quarter vibe, followed by a second site on Park Boulevard with a traditional French theme and a third on University Avenue that channels a Napoleonic Egyptian atmosphere. Each shop is presented as a reflection of its host neighborhood, emphasizing local character alongside coffee service.

Serving local residents and visitors who need coffee and a dependable, 24/7 gathering place, the concept sits within the Food and Beverage Services industry as a mid-sized operator focused on community space. The company has pursued community partnerships, notably with Diversionary Theater, to strengthen ties with surrounding neighborhoods. Based in San Diego, the business began in 1997 and expanded to three locations by 2016.
