LH Bank Public Company Limited is a Thai banking institution formed from the real estate developers Land & Houses Public Company Limited and Quality Houses Public Company Limited. These developers historically commanded a large market share in real estate development and management, and their diversification led to the creation of a commercial retail bank following a 2004 government plan. The bank was authorized in 2005 to accept deposits and provide lending to retail customers and small- and medium-sized enterprises, with restrictions on foreign currencies and derivatives aside from money exchange. In 2009, LH Financial Group Plc. was established to hold and supervise the bank as part of a consolidated financial business group under the Bank of Thailand. LH Bank is based in Yannawa, Bangkok, and operates as a mid-sized lender serving retail clients and SMEs. It forms part of LH Financial Group Plc., a holding company structure designed to coordinate its financial activities under regulatory supervision.
