For over six decades Liebherr-Hausgeraete GmbH has been specializing in manufacturing innovative refrigerators and freezers. The company employs more than 6,500 staff and produces a wide range of refrigerators and freezers for domestic and professional use at its sites in Ochsenhausen (Germany), Lienz (Austria), Marica (Bulgaria), Kluang (Malaysia) and Aurangabad (India). With an annual production of nearly 2.3 million appliances, Liebherr is one of the leading European manufacturers in the premium class and stands for quality, design, and innovation. 

In 1954, Hans Liebherr made his first fridges in Ochsenhausen and shortly thereafter they went into series production. This laid the foundation for Liebherr-Hausgeraete GmbH, which is still the divisional controlling company of all production sites for refrigerators and freezers and manages one of the thirteen product segments of the Liebherr Group.
