Life School is a nonprofit network of public charter schools that provides tuition-free education in Texas. Founded in 1998 to serve families in southern Dallas, the Oak Cliff campus opened with 15 staff and 266 students, and the school aimed to provide quality education and parental choice regardless of ability to pay. Based in Red Oak, Texas, the network operates 10 campuses and serves more than 5,600 students across several cities, including Carrollton (K-5), Cedar Hill (K-6), Lancaster (K-6), Mountain Creek (K-6), Oak Cliff (K-12), Red Oak (K-6), and Waxahachie (7-12). Different campuses accommodate a range of grade configurations, with Oak Cliff covering K-12 and Waxahachie housing grades 7-12. The schools focus on strong academics and character development while partnering with families and communities, and they provide athletics, dual credit, and science education as part of their offerings.
