Liminal’s battery manufacturing intelligence platform, EchoStat®, leverages proprietary ultrasound and machine learning analytics technology for advanced inspection and process control throughout multiple manufacturing stages. EchoStat provides a non-destructive look inside battery cells, offering a unique and comprehensive analysis of each cell’s physical and electrochemical condition during production.

Based in Emeryville, CA, Liminal was founded in 2015 by top technologists from Princeton University and fellows in the entrepreneurial fellowship program, partnered with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Cyclotron Road Division. We are proudly supported by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and part of the Shell/NREL Game Changer Accelerator.
