Litgrid is one of the key companies in the national electricity sector – the operator of the electricity transmission system, managing the flow of electricity across Lithuania. We maintain the stable operation of the national electricity network, ensuring the reliable, efficient, high-quality, transparent and safe transmission of electricity. 
As a company, we implement and manage complex infrastructure and strategic projects of both European and national significance. The NordBalt link with Sweden and the connection with Poland, LitPol Link, were implemented at the end of 2015. Another strategic project, Harmony Link, is currently in the process of implementation.
We are also in charge of another power transmission infrastructure project of national significance – the synchronisation of the Lithuanian electricity network with the Continental European grid. This is a key milestone in Litgrid’s 2017–2026 strategy, which sets out our main priorities: integration with European electricity systems, the liberalisation of the electricity market, sustainable development of the transmission grid, the adoption of international standards and best practices, as well as the development of an advanced and modern organisation.

Established in 2010, Litgrid employs 300 professionals in electrical engineering, engineering infrastructure, project management and other disciplines. We are an active member of ENTSO-E, the network of European electricity transmission system operators.
