Loffredo Fresh Produce is a wholesale distributor based in Des Moines, Iowa, with roots tracing back to 1892 when Giuseppe Loffredo founded the business as Loffredo Fruit and Tobacco Company. Over more than a century, it has grown by partnering with global and local growers to supply a broader range of products. Beyond fresh produce, the company distributes meat, dairy, nuts, spices, and kitchen essentials, maintaining a focus on quality and service. The company operates in the wholesale sector and serves customers across the Midwest, expanding its distribution footprint with a Minneapolis, Minnesota facility announced for March 23, 2021. Earlier, in 2020, it formed a partnership with Dining Alliance, a group purchasing organization for independent restaurants. These moves reflect its broader sourcing network and regional market position.
