The Long Beach Business Journal is a publication of the Long Beach Journalism Initiative, serving as the "voice of business" since its premiere edition in March 1987. It covers a wide range of business and community issues, with special focuses on real estate and development, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, aviation and aerospace, technology, financial services, education and more.

The work we do at the Long Beach Business Journal and its sister publication, the Long Beach Post, has always been a public service. In late 2023, after decades of for-profit ownership, the two publications reorganized in line with this central mission.

The publications are now charitable entities under the auspices of the Long Beach Journalism Initiative. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our EIN is 93-4121848.
